This project is about a hospital in Zhanjiang, China that needed to replace a batch of their old waiting chairs. The original ones were made of painted iron, and after many years of use, they had already aged and become rusty. The hospital contacted us asking for replacements with better quality—something that could last seven to ten years—and with a budget slightly above mid-range.
At first, we recommended stainless steel chairs. However, the client pointed out that during winter, stainless steel seat panels could feel uncomfortably cold for patients, which is definitely not a good user experience.
After understanding this concern, we suggested adjusting the budget a little and introduced the model shown in this case.
The seats and backrests of these hospital waiting room chairs are made of one-piece molded PU, which will never deform. This material is also scratch-resistant and wear-resistant, ensuring a much longer lifespan. Another advantage is that, unlike metal, PU does not feel freezing cold in winter, so patients can sit comfortably in all seasons.
The client was also worried about the armrests and legs being made of iron, fearing rust issues. We explained that we had applied a triple-layer anti-rust paint coating, and since the actual exposed metal surface area is small, there was no need to worry about serious rusting. The client was very satisfied with this explanation and felt the material choice matched their expectations perfectly.
In the end, they decided to go with these hospital waiting room chairs. The whole project was completed within one week. Since the hospital is located quite close to our factory, logistics only took one day, and installation was finished the same day the chairs arrived. The client even sent us real installation photos as feedback, which we greatly appreciated.
